By His Desire edition by Kate Grey Romance eBooks
This is a steamy read I have to admit, but not over the top. Keith look at a picture hanging in the gallery, think about the woman in that picture high school crush, the one he wanted but never got. In comes Sarah, that girl, ne thinks second chance, right! He gets her to go to café to talk, with Sarah she try to say no, but Keith is not one to take no, his willed and wealthy attitude is he gets what he wants at what ever the cost. now its Sarah. He make a deal to give him a week, the nights are his and she must do what he wants and the painting that her father painted of her will be hers. She does it, but not just for painting and he don't know she likes him and too scared to say. Let's say Sarah blows him away by things she does and the feeling the is starting to feel. That's all I'll say, I am not spoiling it, I rather you read and enjoy the book as I did!! This was more then the sexual aspect and exploring feeling past, future and other issues. I recommend it, be prepared for some hot scenes!!Product details

By His Desire edition by Kate Grey Romance eBooks Reviews
This was an enjoyable, intense read Keith Logan has purchased a painting of Sharah Harper, done by her father a famous artist. He and Sarah went to high school together, he was always interested in her but she was shy and was never able to return his interest. Keith always felt he missed something by not getting to know her. He won't receive the painting for another week but continues to go to a museum to see it, while there he sees Sarah again and offers her the painting if she will spend a week with him - the painting was the only thing from her father she ever wanted so she agrees to his offer.
I don't really expect character development in a 68 page book, its all about the story and you have to fill in your own blanks. The writing was good the topic was well handled and I think the main plot that is built around Sarah's shyness disorder was well handled.
I'm looking forward to more from Kate Gray.
"By His Desire" is a short story about a man and a woman who went to HS together and had a secret crush on one another, though neither one knew that the other shared their feelings. Sarah believed that she was "invisible" to Keith, who was the rich, popular guy, and Keith believed Sarah hated his guts. Of course, none of that was true, and that was more than proven when they reconnect several years later, when a portrait of Sarah that her father did was sold and the buyer turned out to be Keith.
Though some may complain that this short story was "too short" (I always find that complaint about short stories rather amusing, though it does bother me when people "penalize" a short story for being short), I think that Ms. Grey did a very good job. For me, characters are the first element that I absolutely have to appreciate in any story, in order for me to be able to say "this is a good read" of whatever it is that I am reading at any given time, irrespective of length. I found myself truly liking both Keith and Sarah, so off the bat, I knew I was going to likely enjoy the book.
Regarding the love story itself, I didn't think that their falling in love was "forced" in any way, since they both had been halfway there after all, during their high school years, and despite the fact that their lives had taken completely separate turns... until they met again because of a portrait and the striking of a "deal" that would bring them together.
I found the pacing adequate for a short story, and of course, the ending was sweet, so that is a big bonus for me, as I do read to escape reality, and this short story definitely proved to be a nice contemporary-set fantasy ideal for that purpose. The sex scenes, as I see it, were well written. In my personal opinion, writing sex scenes is an art, and having been a fan of erotic romance for more than 10 years, I've read my share of stilted and awkward sex scenes.
I believe this short story was self-published, which frankly, did surprise me as I have been "burned" many times over by self-published works. However, I am going to keep my eyes peeled for this author, as if she continues her writing endeavors, and despite the fact that contemporary romance is not exactly a sub-genre I like, I am more than willing to try whatever else she puts out. This was a quality book/story, from my personal perspective, and I always welcome new additions to my autobuy author list.
If you like BDSM elements (non-hardcore, mind you), sympathetic characters, and you are looking for something short, sizzling and romantic to read on a lazy afternoon, I definitely recommend this short story. It's very nicely done.
This was a quick read about reconnecting with that one person that you always hoped in your heart was the one.
Both Keith and Sarah had crushes on each other in high school and neither knew. Sarah was terribly shy so every time Keith spoke to her, she blushed and turned away. He assumed she didn't like him. Sarah never had the nerve to talk to Keith when he tried and instead assumed he was being nice. She watched him from afar always wishes he was hers.
Now years later, they meet again in a museum where Keith has purchased a million dollar portrait of her that was painted by her late father. He makes an offer to her that if she'll spend one week with him, at his mercy, he'll give her the painting. Although by the end of the week, both Keith and Sarah realize they want more than one week.
Quick romantic HEA.
This story was surprisingly well thought out and well structured.
I was honestly beginning to think that novellas simply weren't my cup of tea but this author has given me hope.
Long enough that you get the point.
Short enough to cut out useless rambling.
Secy enough to keep it all interesting.
I'd gladly read any novella of this calibre.
Keith that boy is all bada**, "a wicked gleam came into his eyes. "I want you in my bed and at my mercy. And I want to ruin you for your vibrator." You know Sarah she secretly has some lady balls and I was proud of her in some parts, "I don't know if we need to or not. I just know that I want to. If you don't, of course that's okay. But if that's the case then I'll be heading home today." I mean Keith can sometimes be an a**, "fine. You'll get your instructions at dinner." He ended the call, and then immediately regretted his abruptness. There was nothing stopping Sarah from changing her mind." I mean there were some parts that were funny that really shouldn't have been funny, but still were, "then her face cleared, and she gripped his pants and boxers in both hands and drew them down over his hips. His erection sprang free and almost hit her in the face." I really enjoyed Sarah and Keith's adventure.
